When to use outbound scheduling

Last Updated: Oct 27, 2011 02:42PM EEST
Outbound scheduling can be used for both one on one and group meetings. While you can add invitees to an inbound invitation, it is best to schedule group meetings via outbound. When you have a meeting with more than three attendees outbound is the best choice.

When it comes to one on one meetings, the common practice is to use outbound scheduling when you want to meet with someone. This is in contrast to someone wanting to meet with you, where in this case you can simply send them to your inbound page. Check out the article about When to use inbound scheduling to learn more about uses of inbound scheduling.

Outbound scheduling should also be used when you want to be the organizer of the meeting and have full control over the times that are proposed and the final selected time.

Outbound scheduling can be used to schedule meetings with dozens of attendees. Some users have scheduled meetings with more than 50 and even 70 invitees.

Outbound scheduling should also be used if you need to schedule meetings for others. See more details in the scheduling on behalf of others article.
