Time zones and Daylight Saving Time

ScheduleOnce is really smart about time zones, making it a perfect application for scheduling virtual meetings and conference calls:

  • Automatic time zone detection: The user's time zone is detected automatically based on the computer's IP address. This means that if a user travels to a location with a different time zone they will be alerted of the time zone change and will be able to switch to the new time zone with one click.
  • Display in the user's time zone: The time zone in which times are displayed is always adjusted to the user's time zone, making it clear and easy to understand.
  • Automatic handling of Daylight Saving Time: ScheduleOnce tracks the Daylight Saving status of more than 300 locations worldwide and automatically makes the necessary adjustments to accommodate any Daylight saving Time (DST) changes. This means that the user does not need to worry about DST at all and all adjustments will be made by SchduleOnce.

However many meetings take place in a single time zone only where there is no need to use time zones at all. For this reason we have made it easy to turn time zones on and off. To enable/disable time zone support for inbound scheduling go to the General settings of your Inbound settings page. To enable/disable time zone support for Outbound scheduling go to the Outbound settings page.

The time zone setting in the Account page applies to the entire application (both inbound and outbound scheduling). If you click to change the time zone in other places in the application you will be redirected to the account page and after you make the change you will be redirected back to the page from which you came.
