Using Personalized links
With Personalized links, prospects and customers click on your link and pick a time, without having to provide any information that is already known to you. The most common use case for using Personalized links is when running a lead qualification email campaign. You want every lead to receive a personal link, which, by clicking on it, will take them through a quick and easy booking process that doesn’t require adding personal details. You can also add source tracking tags to personalized Booking page links, letting you analyze where your bookings come from. Personalized links are an integral part of your lead qualification phase and are an essential tool for your sales and marketing teams in your organization.
URL parameters vs. CRM record ID
The Customer information part of the personalized link can take one of two forms: Customer information based on parameters passed in the URL, such as name, email, phone etc., and Customer information stored in a Database such as your Infusionsoft CRM, Salesforce CRM, or your ScheduleOnce account. Static vs. dynamic Personalized links
You can pass Customer information using URL parameters, or using data stored in your CRM database. You can also define a Personalized link specific to a Customer.
Static Personalized links are links that are uniquely personalized for a specific Customer and contain the individual’s personal details. As an example, the following link is considered static as it contains the details of a customer called John: https://secure.scheduleonce.com/dana?name=Johnfirstname.lastname@example.org&skip=1.
Dynamic Personalized links are links that contain field mapping information, i.e. names of fields that exist in a 3rd party marketing app such as MailChimp, or the CRM record ID. As an example, the following dynamic link contains MailChimp fields, which are automatically replaced with subscriber information during an email campaign: https://secure.scheduleonce.com/dana?name=*|NAME|*&email=*|EMAIL|*.
Booking form pre-population and skipping
The Booking form information part of the Personalized link provides two features: pre-population and skipping.
When the Booking form is pre-populated, it can operate in two modes: private or public. The mode of the Booking form depends on the source of the pre-population data provided. Pre-population data can originate from two sources:
Parameters passed in the URL to the Booking page
- Customer information stored in a Database such as your CRM or ScheduleOnce account
To provide a seamless and quick booking process to your existing leads or customers, you should always use the skipping functionality. This option skips the Booking form step entirely and enables your customers to choose only a time to complete the booking.
